“Q: Hello birb friend! I was just wondering what is the difference between a crow and a raven? and how would I be able to tell them apart at a glance?”
Ah yes! A common problem. Let’s see if I can help you out
CROWS
smaller and sleeker than ravens
short, slim, and straight beak (good for murder?)
in flight, tail is fan-shaped
can’t grow a beard
generally delightful
RAVENS
large and angry-looking (aren’t actually angry)
bigger, heavier, very slightly hooked/pointed beak (good for unkindness)
“wauk”-ish call (sounds like a tuberculosis victim laughing derisively at you)
in flight, tail is wedge-shaped
majestic beard (really)
also delightful. sorry I don’t make the rules
