Crows VS Ravens

Q: Hello birb friend! I was just wondering what is the difference between a crow and a raven? and how would I be able to tell them apart at a glance?

Ah yes! A common problem. Let’s see if I can help you out

CROWS

  • smaller and sleeker than ravens

  • short, slim, and straight beak (good for murder?)

  • “caw, caw, caw” call

  • in flight, tail is fan-shaped

  • can’t grow a beard

  • generally delightful

RAVENS

  • large and angry-looking (aren’t actually angry)

  • bigger, heavier, very slightly hooked/pointed beak (good for unkindness)

  • “wauk”-ish call (sounds like a tuberculosis victim laughing derisively at you)

  • in flight, tail is wedge-shaped

  • majestic beard (really)

  • also delightful. sorry I don’t make the rules

A NICE ARTIST’S INTERPRETATION:
